Welcome to Blackford Elementary School, home to 670 K- 5 students and their families in the Campbell Union School District. Our rich diversity truly reflects the world around us. Dedicated, professional teachers, school staff and community volunteers support students in achieving their fullest potential, both academically and socially.

As the school's new principal, I look forward to working with every member of our community to build a vibrant school that demonstrates strong academic achievement that engages and stimulates all learners.


In just nine weeks, we've embarked on several initiatives!

Be a part of this dynamic change! Find your niche!

  • Incorporation of the Cornerstone Program, aligned with Positive Based Intervention Systems (positive school climate)
  • Training and tripling of yard duty staff
  • Improve campus appearance and cleanliness
  • More student engagement and hands-on activities
  • Use of data to make informed instructional decisions
  • New after school enrichment programs
  • More parent and community engagement
  • Diverse committee involvement: GATE, Site Council, Publishing, ELAC, etc.
  • Student Council and Cornerstone Kids
  • Bringing the library up to the standards of the Amerian Library Association
  • Equity improvement training with staff teams
  • Building community via social events on campus
