Welcome to Blackford Elementary School, home to 675 K- 5 students and their families in the Campbell Union School District. Our rich diversity truly reflects the world around us. Dedicated, professional teachers, school staff and community volunteers support students in achieving their fullest potential, both academically and socially.

As the school's new principal, I look forward to working with every member of our community to build a vibrant school that demonstrates strong academic achievement that engages and stimulates all learners.


Student Achievement is at a 3- Year High!

We have already:

  • Trained 35 students as student leaders in our Cornerstone Kid, Expect Respect program
  • Tripled our yard duty supervision
  • Improved campus appearance and cleanliness
  • Trained our whole staff in the use of GLAD strategies
  • Been using  data to make informed instructional decisions
  • Implemented after school enrichment programs- a choir and play!
  • Strengthened community involvement: GATE, Site Council, PTA, ELAC, etc.
  • Started a Student Council that has sponsored spirit days
  • Weeded out the oldest books in our library, and ear marked $9,000 for new books
