Principal’s Corner - May 4, 2015 June 5, 2015 - 9:33am

I would like to recognize the hard work that all of our staff, students, and parents put in to making Blackford such an amazing school. I would like to give a special shout out to three people who will be receiving an award for their hard work and dedication. Please join me in congratulating Mike and Edith Chacon, our site and district volunteers of the year; Ian Miles, our classified staff of the year, and Cari Glass, our teacher of the year. Congratulations, and thank you for all of the amazing work you do for our students.

Drop off/Pick Up June 5, 2015 - 9:34am

Please remember that there is NO supervision for students who are eating breakfast prior to 7:55. If your student is eating breakfast at school, please refrain from dropping them off or letting them walk to school prior to 7:55 a.m. If your student is not participating in the breakfast program they should be dropped off when the gates open at 8:20. Our priority in the morning is keeping the kids safe. It is a safety concern when students are hanging out in front of the school with no adult supervision.

Principal’s Corner - May 25, 2015 June 5, 2015 - 9:35am

Summer is coming quickly and with the break in academics it is very beneficial to your students learning to keep a reading regimen going throughout the summer. In between vacations, “stay-cations,” visits to the park, day trips, etc. help your student to establish a summer reading routine to keep those brain cells working.
