Rental Assistance Available Financial assistance available for those impacted by COVID-19 through Catholic Charities What is the Rental Assistance Program? Qualifications: The rental assistance program is a financial assistance program that is available to individuals or families who are behind on rental payments due to loss of income related to COVID-19. Reside in the City of San Jose Income loss/reduction due to COVID-19 Financial assistance is available to those who qualify and may cover expenses such as rental payments, utilities, and housing deposits from April 2020 through December 2020. Not currently receiving Section 8 Income at or below 60% of Santa Clara County's AMI (Average Median Income) - to be determined by Housing Staff |How to apply Please call us at the following numbers: For mono-lingual Vietnamese: (408) 757-8044 and/or (408) 757-6661. For mono-lingual Spanish: (408) 757-7703 and/or (408) 757-7591. All other languages and general inquiries: (408) 758-0011. Not subject to lifetime registration requirement under ANY state's sex offender program/registry No convictions (within last 3 years) of drug- related criminal activity for the production or manufacture of methamphetamines Applications will be accepted through a lottery system.
