	Back To School Night	August 28, 2017 - 11:33am	Please mark your calendars. Our Back to School Night will be held on Wednesday, September 13th. This year we have the following schedule: TK - 2nd grade meet and greet in your child's classroom 6:00 - 6:40 p.m. 3rd- 5th grade meet and greet in your child's classrom 6:50 - 7:30 Please come and join us and get to know our staff. This is also a great opportunity to meet other families and students in our Blackford community. We look forward to seeing you there!
	Back To School Picnic	August 28, 2017 - 11:54am	Please join us for our 3rd annual back to school picnic. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a Blackford community and meet other families in a relaxed environment. Please bring your family and a picnic dinner to enjoy, and join us on the upper yard grass area from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30p.m on Thursday, September 7th. See you there.
	Adult English Classes	August 28, 2017 - 9:43am	Are you interested in learning English? Blackford Elementary has partnered with Campbell Adult and Community Education(CACE) to provide FREE English classes for parents at Blackford Elementary. Classes start on Tuesday, August 29th. Classes are held 8:45-11:45 am Tuesday-Friday. Registration will be held on Monday, August 28th from 9:00 am to noon. Please check in at the Blackford Elementary office.
	Welcome Back	September 18, 2017 - 7:40am	We are so excited to welcome our returning and new families to Blackford for the 2017-2018 school year. We are off to a fantastic start and look forward to all of the wonderful learning that is to come throughout this year. Thank you all for making Blackford such an amazing place to be.

	Campus Renovation Enters Final Stage	August 3, 2017 - 4:01pm	Blackford has undergone a lot of changes since students left in June, and more are happening daily as our construction and cleaning crews push hard to finish everything before students return. I assure you that on August 23^rd, we will welcome your child(ren) to a safe school where our teachers are excited and eager to lead them through this year of learning. In regards to construction, great progress has been made over the summer. We also want to make you aware of a few things you may notice once you are on campus.
	Board Celebrates Student Achievement, Hears About New School and More	October 24, 2023 - 12:01am	Board News - June 1 2017: Members of the winning Monroe Middle School Scholars Cup team were featured at the meeting. The Board also heard a District recommendation on the TK-8 school transformation.

	Information For The 2017-2018 School Year	August 23, 2017 - 10:29am	As the current school year is coming to an end, we wanted to give you a bit of information for the upcoming year. School begins on August 23rd If you have an incoming Tranisitional Kindergarten student or Kindergarten student, please be on the lookout for a letter in the mail in early August outlining our orientation. Please continue to check this website for updates regarding construction and the beginning of the year procedures. We are looking forward to a fantastic 2017-2018 school year.
	Construction Over The Summer	August 23, 2017 - 10:28am	We are thrilled that Blackford is getting a new outdoor eating area and new hallway coverings over the summer. Construction for this project will begin on Thursday, June 15th and will last throughout the summer. Due to this construction, Blackford campus will be closed starting on Wednesday, June 14th at 4:00. The office will still be checking emails and answering phones as the administrative team will be working at a remote location. While the construction project may not be 100% complete by the time school begins next year, it will not impact the start of school in August.
