	Blackford Community Build Day Was a Huge Success	April 10, 2017 - 9:50am	Thank you to all of those that came out to support our first ever Blackford Community Build Day with RAFT and Project Ember. It was a huge success with over 100 students, parents, teachers, and staff members participating in the build. Students of all ages along with their families participated in building tables, shelves, and supply walls with whiteboards. It was an incredible event and we are so thankful to all who came out to help and support. Here is a link to an article where we were featured in the Mercury news as well! Great Job Blackford Bobcats.
	After School Play	April 10, 2017 - 9:37am	Please help us in reminding your students that children are not permitted to play on the playground or playstructure after school unless they are accompanied by a parent. In addition parents that are staying with your students after school please make sure to be sitting/standing near them on the playground or playstructure. We have noticed several students playing on one playground while their parents are on another. As safety is a top priority for us, we wanted to take a moment to remind you to please help us by following the above policy.
	Parking Lot Pick Up	April 10, 2017 - 9:31am	During pick up time, after school in the parking lot, you may have noticed new signs that designate pick up times along the yellow curb. If you have a student that gets picked up at 3:00 dismissal, please do not park along the curb during the 2:50 dismissal. We have found that cars parked on the curb early for the 3:00 dismissal are making it diffucult for the traffic to continously flow for the 2:50 pick up. We sincerely appreciate your support in helping with the flow of traffic and most importantly the safety of our students and families in the parking lot of Blackford.
	Parent Input Wanted	April 10, 2017 - 9:32am	We value your input! At the next PTA/Community meeting, we will be reviewing our LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) school goals and seeking parent input. The next PTA meeting is this Thursday, March 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the community room (Room 13). Please join us if you would like to give feedback.
	State Testing: Keep Calm and Study On	October 24, 2023 - 12:01am	State testing will happen from mid-April through May, and we're doing our best to ensure our students do their best.

	Schools to Hold Planning Meetings	August 9, 2019 - 6:46pm	Parents and neighbors are invited to attend and give input on funding and program priorities. Check the school calendar for "LCAP" meeting dates and times.
	Board Updates Policies - Winter 2016-17	October 24, 2023 - 12:01am	Governing Board policies guide the District's regulations on a wide range of topics. Policies are available to the public in multiple ways.
	STEAM Showcase is March 29th	August 9, 2019 - 6:46pm	Creativity abounds at this annual demonstration of works by students engaged in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics! Wed., March 29, from 4–7pm.
