Books for Blackford Students and Families February 4, 2016 - 9:32am

Blackford Elementary School has been selected to receive 400+ books as part of Pi Beta Phi’s Fraternity Day of Service. As part of their Read > Lead > Achieve ® program, the organization will be distributing 20,000 books to local schools, community groups, local literacy programs, and families on Saturday, Feb. 27, at a special event to be held at Macy’s Sunnyvale (200 W. Washington Avenue, Sunnyvale).

Families are invited to bring their children to the event between 10:00 and 2:00 to participate in literacy activities and to pick out a book for each child. 

Preview New Textbooks & Materials February 3, 2016 - 8:28am

Our District is identifying which new English/Language Arts textbooks and instructional materials we will recommend for next school year. Two opportunities to see the materials yourself, and to offer input and suggestions, are coming up:

  • Tue., Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., in the Hamilton Room at the District's Central Office.
  • Wed., March 9, from 5 until 7 p.m.,  in the Hamilton Room at the District's Central Office. 
Discuss Gifted Education February 1, 2016 - 4:44pm

Please join parents and administrators for a discussion about Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) services in our schools.

Parking Lot and Leigh Ave January 28, 2016 - 3:55pm

In an effort to enforce safety and protect our students you may notice a traffic control officer both in our parking lot and on Leigh Ave. Please make sure to abide by all traffic laws including: not double parking, not parking in red zones, not leaving your car unattended in yellow zones, not parking in the handicapped parking spaces without designated placards, and following the speed limit in the parking lot and surrounding streets. The officer will be ticketing violations. Please help keep our students and families safe.

Open Enrollment January 25, 2016 - 8:12am

Campbell Union School District will be holding open enrollment for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten from January 19th through February 12th.  For 5th and 6th grade, open enrollment dates are February 1st through February 12th. All forms for 5th and 6th grade open enrollment must be turned in to our school directly, please do not take them to the district office.

Don't forget to check Lost and Found in the hallway closet near room 11. The pile is growing. Soon, we will be donating the unclaimed items to charity. Remember to label your child's jacket!
