Please come out and celebrate our 5th grade students on Tuesday June 7th at 9:00 a.m. in the multiuse room. If you are driving please plan to come early as the parking lot will fill up quickly. We are so happy for our 5th graders. They have worked very hard to get to this point and we are excited to get to celebrate them. |

It is hard to believe the summer is upon us. This is a friendly reminder that our last 3 days of school; June 6th, June 7th, and June 8th are all minimum days. Please make sure to pick up your students on all 3 days at 1:50 (for TK - 3rd) and 2:00 (for 4th and 5th) We are looking forward to a great last week and a half of school. |

We are excited to be offering our Blackford 2015-2016 yearbooks for sale starting Tuesday May 31st after school. The cost is $20.00 each. This is a great way to preserve the memories made throughout this year. |

Come join us for our PTA Summer Launch on Wednesday June 1st. We will be having a BBQ lunch and dance party on the upper yard. Students will have the bbq food items offered to them as their "hot lunch" option. If your student does not normally get hot lunch but would like to receive the BBQ lunch on Wednesday please turn in $3.25 to the front office to be credited to their account so they can purchase the BBQ lunch. If you would like to participate in our BBQ lunch please bring $3.75 cash to the lunch line during your students regular lunch time to purchase your hamburger or hotdog. |

New solar structures will be built on several schools, as part of Campbell Union School District’s energy conservation program. “In the light of the moon…” Those six words begin one of the most loved children’s books ever, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Do you still remember the first story you read to your child? If so, maybe you would be willing to share those reading skills with a few other children at Blackford! Project Cornerstone, the YMCA-led initiative to get parents in local school classrooms reading stories to kids, is looking for new parents to join next school year, 2016-17. Come out and join us on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm for the Blackford Cultural Festival. There will be live performances, food/beverages, and fun games for the whole family! Tickets will be sold for $1 each and all proceeds go to Blackford! We look forward to seeing everyone there! |
