	Welcome Back Bobcats	September 1, 2015 - 8:20am	I would like to take this time to formally welcome back to Blackford our returning families and those families that are joining us for the first year. We are so excited that you are all a part of our Blackford community. Our dedicated staff has been preparing for a wonderful year of learning, fun, excitement, and rigourous education. This summer we have had some staff changes that I wanted to share with you.
	2015-2016 Class Placements	August 10, 2015 - 2:32pm	Class placements will be posted after 5:00 pm on August 18th at the front office. In order to get your student's class placement, you must have your student ID number with you, which is located on the top right corner of the green "Personal Information" sheet included in your welcome back letter. A limited number of free backpacks will be available for pick up in the cafeteria on Tuesday, August 18th from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. You must be a Blackford student in order to receive a backpack. This is on a first served basis and only one backpack will be given per student.
	Calling All Kinders	August 10, 2015 - 2:16pm	We would like to welcome all of our new Kinder families to Blackford. In your welcome packet, you should have received information regarding our Kinder round-up event and Kinder orientation. Kinder round-up is an opportunity for our kinder teachers to assess our incoming kinder studnets in order to gain an understanding of their academic ability and meet their needs in the classroom. In the welcome packet, you received a time to bring your child in for assessment on August 12th. If you have any questions or cannot make that time, please call (408) 978-4675.
