State Testing Begins

 

SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium) State testing for our 3rd through 5th grade students starts this week. Here are some ways that you can help your student be as prepared and confident as possible. Our goal is to set each and every student up for success.  Please help your student with their success by:

  • Ensuring they get a good nights sleep
  • Having them eat a healthy breakfast
  • Giving them some words of encouragement to help ease possible test anxiety

2nd Annual Blackford Ball

 

Please come and join us in our multiuse room Friday, April 27th from 6:30 - 8:30 for our second annual Blackford Ball. Get ready to dance the night away during this Hawaiian themed event. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase. Entrance to the event is free so please come and have some fun and get ready to show off your best dance moves. 

More than 1,600 people participated, providing thoughts, ideas, and questions for the district leadership.

Input from parents, staff and other community members is very important to us in Campbell Union School District. Working closely with our community is essential to ensuring that the needs of all students are met.

District Governing Board urges lawmakers to support greater school safety through increased funding and “common sense gun reforms.”

At their March 29 meeting, the elementary school district trustees passed Resolution 2017-18-25 calling on state and federal legislators to do more to bolster funding for services that support students’ mental, physical and emotional health and protect students from gun violence.

Congratulations to Monroe Middle School's Team

March 13, 2018; San Jose, Calif.—A team of Monroe Middle Schoolers won top awards at the World Scholars Cup regional tournament in San Jose this week. In a series of different challenges, the 16 students, mostly 7th and 8th graders and one 5th grader, analyzed, collaborated, tested and debated their way to earn multiple honors, including Top Junior Team and Top Junior Scholar.
