Hour of Code

This week, Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 7-13), Blackford Elementary School will join in the Hour of Code, a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. It is designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics of computer science.
 
Whatever work our students go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge upon their understanding of how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and fewer students are studying it than a decade ago. This is an opportunity for them to be introduced to the fast paced ever changing world of computer science.
